1947
The Beginning
NLK Group of schools was founded by Late Sri Hira Lal Khanna. He was an eminent industrialist, philanthropist, and scholar who had deep concern for the lower sections of society and desired to bring quality education within their reach.
Late Shri Hira Lal Khanna ji (Father-in-law of Mrs. Pushpa Khanna Ji) also established Kanpur High School for Boys.

Empowering Girls
Smt. Pushpa Khanna ji was born in Delhi on 3rd March, 1925. She was married to Shri Nandlal Khanna ji in 1939 at the young age of 14. Her father-in-law encouraged her to continue her studies, and she completed her Master’s degree in Hindi while raising her two children. Always keen to do something new, she opened a Home Science Institute for women in Kanpur in the 1960s, modelled on Lady Irwin College in New Delhi. Espousing the cause of women’s empowerment, this institute helped many women become self-reliant.

What We Believe In
NLK Group of Schools endeavours to develop and shape a holistic personality, integrated with ethical values and the confidence to face the challenges of globalization. We believe that education is the most powerful means of empowering underprivileged children and securing their future. It is also one of the best ways to eradicate child labour from society.
With the efforts of Smt. Pushpa Khanna ji, Kanpur Education Society established P.D.K. Bal Niketan, an exclusive school for girls from deprived sections of society.

Making Lives Better
Keeping pace with changing times, Smt. Pushpa Khanna ji, through K.E.S., established a coeducational school in Jawahar Nagar, Kanpur.
1987
Celebrating Our Journey
Smt. Pushpa Khanna ji founded Shri Nandlal Khanna Vidya Mandir at Vishnupuri, Kanpur in memory of her husband, Late Shri Nandlal Khanna ji, with just seven students on the rolls.
1998
Educating For Complexity
The world has changed enormously since Wendy High School, our first ICSE/ISC-affiliated school, welcomed its first students in 1975. Yet our mission remains the same-to nurture talented students and dedicated teachers from all backgrounds and contribute to building a meritocratic India, where ability and hard work determine success.
Through scholarships and bursaries supporting nearly half of our students, we strive to reduce financial barriers and ensure that deserving students have access to quality education.

NLK Primary School was established to prepare young minds to take on leadership and responsibility in a competitive and ever-changing world.
NLK Public School was established on the principles of providing rigorous academic preparation and a creative educational foundation.

There is a constant flow of positive energy, movement, and enthusiasm in the environs of NLK’s Little Steps and NLK’s Wendy School. Our aim is not only to impart knowledge but also to instill wisdom, compassion, and a humanitarian spirit in our students.
It is important for children to explore and discover their strengths in order to reach their true potential. These institutions were created with the vision of nurturing conscientious, smart, and confident citizens of India who will go out into the world and make us proud.

2017
Special Children are Special
Pushpa Khanna Memorial Centre, a rehabilitation centre for children with special needs, was established by NLK Group of Schools in the year 2017. The centre runs in fond memory of the great visionary and founder of NLK Group, Late Smt. Pushpa Khanna Ji. The centre is run by Ms. Ruma Chaturvedi (C.S.,LLB) Director, Pushpa Khanna Memorial Centre. Being the mother of a special child herself, she trained in the field of special education and pioneered the effort of bringing the best international practices to Kanpur. She is a certified PEERS Social Skills Trainer and a certified Autism Movement Therapy trainer.
2020
Where Sky is The Limit
The vast campus NLK Academy has been established in place of Krishna Girls College of Engineering which had been closed for the past six years. began in 2019 and it was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Founders’ Day, i.e., 3rd March 2020. At NLK Academy, we adopt a holistic approach to learning to provide a better learning experience for our students. This is our first CBSE Affiliated School offering world-class facilities at minimal cost.

Empowering Individuals With Special Needs
PKMC’s new Branch at Khalasi Line, Kanpur is an initiative to provide the best therapies at reasonable prices, so that we are able to reach out to the a larger section of society and make a positive difference in the lives of many children and young adults with special needs.
