FROM PRINCIPAL'S DESK - NLK PUBLIC SCHOOL
The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.
A school plays a crucial role in shaping a child's future. Not only does this include the provision of education and ensuring learning, but moulding the character, morals, and value system of the child as well. A school provides the foundation needed to view the world as a limitless space providing innumerable opportunities to shine.
We, at NLK PUBLIC SCHOOL, strive to provide education that explores, challenges, and grooms every aspect of the child's personality. While we are determined to provide seamless learning targeted towards excellent academic performance through the incorporation of the latest teaching approaches, we also ensure that we are actively working on the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual training of our children. We believe that all children can learn and commit to nurture the potential in each child. We focus on contextual learning based on a constructivist theory of teaching & learning to provide techniques such as problem-solving, learning by doing & inquiry-based learning activities.
Our teachers help students to test their ideas, draw conclusions & inferences in a collaborative learning learning! environment which transforms the students to become active participants in the learning process.
Our teachers are professionally equipped to develop, adapt and modify curriculum content, pedagogy & assessment which fulfil the needs and aspirations of our students. We work towards a holistic, experiential, integrated, student-centred educational system that helps to improve the creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills of our young learners to equip them for the ever-changing employment dynamics and global ecosystems. We educate our children to change the world through peace, empathy, and fraternity and place great emphasis on inner values.
Our sincere gratitude to all the stakeholders of NLK Public School i.e., the management, staff, parents, and students for keeping your trust and belief in the school. We will continue with the spirit of inculcating ethics & ethos in young minds with aplomb and dedication.
We look forward to working together to support every child to fulfil the school motto: "We teach how to think, not what to think".

Autism Awareness Activity :
"Everyone is unique in their own way, you just need to find out their actual versions"*
*Autism awareness*
Each and everyone around us is different.
Everyone has different communication skills, thinking skills, habits......
None of us are same.
Our little NLKites have learnt about autism awareness.
They were really enthusiastic to know about such a new topic. They were shown visual presentations to make their understanding better on the topic. They learnt about the colour of autism, the symbol of autism and many more things.
They enjoyed this activity to the core and enhance their literacy, naturalistic, kinaesthetic and interpersonal skills.
Sharing few glimpses of the activity…..
Earth Day :
Earth is our home & Nature is our mother we all know this.... To keep it clean & green is also our responsibility so, in today's activity we tried to aware little ones about reuse, reduce & recycle...these 3 magical words are very important in nowadays....we also tried to cultivate sanity in children towards nature & our planet Earth....We ask them for plantation, we also tried to divert their mind towards pottering, which we have forgotten somewhere & also started using plastic disposals...
So, here our young ones are appealing you all to go for organic products instead of using harmful chemicals & pesticides....
Lime, Lemon, Lemonade :
We have conducted an activity by squeezing fresh' lime, lemon and lemonade' for grade school children. You all will be surprised to know that our little ones enjoyed this learning virtually 'isn't it great, ‘wow!
Involving the kids in such activities gives the opportunity to learn social interaction, processing information, following directions and also hand and eye coordination.
They also learnt the importance of drinking lemonade in summers rather than other beverages.
All the kids were very excited and actively involved in the activity.
Sharing the pics of our little ones....
Mother’s Day :
Our small kids organised an activity amidst this pandemic. They dedicate this activity to their mothers by preparing delicious fruit salad & bhelpuri. And our little kids also prepare crown for their mother.
Involving children in such activities give opportunity to learn social interaction, following directions and also coordination of different body parts such as hand and eyes.
Children were very excited and actively involved in the activity. It shows how much you appreciate all she's done for you by particularly acknowledging this important day
Mindfulness session :
Our life is shaped by our mind, we become what we think. Mindfulness is a way of briefing ourselves and our experiences.
During summer vacation and in between this pandemic we should follow the path of positivity and calmness. To achieve these two things Mindfulness session was very helpful.
Today our children had participated in the first session conducted with a cheerful and calm personality Anubhuti ji. She started with a story that gave a beautiful message.
Students had learned a different aspect of memory power, importance of natural resources, self-love and time management. They have realised the power of water and energy. Students were told to thank the Almighty, their parents and the Nature mother on regular basis.
All in all, Mindfulness session was very motivating and innovative way of teaching the students by enhancing their positivity towards life. It was very pleasant to see the maximum participation of students and their curiosity for meditation.
Family Day :
*Greetings on the occasion of World’s Family Day!*
Family is the foundation unit of our society. Our families are the pillars of our strength; likewise plants are the pillars of our environment.
Let us keep them protected by taking all the necessary precautions in these tough times.
Today on this occasion our children participated in the *Plantation activity*
The little kids have shared their beautiful experience with their family and answered well while brainstorming.
Most of the students were in green dress to make this more enthusiastic.
It was very nice to see tiny hands were planting seeds/sapling in pots/plastic bottles.
They were enjoying and learning how to do plantation, watering and taking care of plants.
The best part of this activity was *learning how to use waste plastic bottles, unused seeds of fruits and tea leaves as fertilizers.*
Our nature is also our family so we should take care for them also, so that there will many oxygen giving plants, medicinal plants and fresh air also.
Fun with Fables :
We have organised an activity for small kids of NLK School to give them the opportunity to learn new ideas and information through hearing and engaging in exciting stories.
Small kids of NLK make an interesting story book with different creativity done on it. This helped children to express their intelligence. Children used household items, recycled objects and natural material to spark their creativity.
Students made new words plus meanings for the words. Students were very excited by building a short story, with animals as protagonists around that central idea. They extract the 'Moral of the story' from them.
These activities help children to know the difference between right and wrong, and give advice on proper behaviour and manners.
Old McDonald had a Farm :
Children love to sing songs. Think about the time when you were a child. What was your favourite song? What songs did you learn at home and at school?
Traditional children’s songs introduce children to the world around them. They do this in a fun and developmentally appropriate way. Today our lil kids of NLK public School, learn about farm animals like cows, ducks and sheep as well as their sounds, like moo moo, quack quack, and baa baa through the popular, traditional song *Old MacDonald Had a Farm*
Without realizing it, children learn language and content simultaneously. Songs build skills that help children distinguish the sounds of a language, and connect sound to script and assist with vocabulary building.
It was indeed a fun activity with lots of learning about farm animals, their sounds and what their young ones are known as.Kids really had good fun time while doing this activity.
